Learn the basic principles of energy conservation and cost reduction methods to help reduce your home’s energy costs. Topics discussed include metering, low to no cost improvement methods, energy star equipment, simple payback, DTE, and government rebates. There will also be an introduction to renewable energies with an actual working solar model. Students may want to bring calculators and pencils for utility bill benchmarking exercises (graph paper will be provided at no extra charge).
